A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Bushra and I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in London, United Kingdom.

I am a self taught creative. Everything I have accomplished is from the extensive research and the vast number of resources that I have utilised along my journey over the years. Back in 2018, I decided to take a gap year from uni, after strongly believing that I have so much potential that hasn't been explored yet.

 

Ever since I can remember, my childhood consisted of my parents always providing me with creative activities such as, colouring books, painting supplies and good ol' MS Paint. During this time, I was absolutely in my element when I was immersed in creativity. However, I'm sure many can relate with the fact that schools would discourage students from pursuing careers in creative roles and would often say that there is no financial stability and that these jobs are not "real jobs". After being told this by a number of teachers, my heart was broken. So, I put this dream of mine into a box and pushed it to the back of my mind.

 

Fast forward to my gap year, I stumbled across a YouTube video about digital illustration and I was mesmerised by the fact that you could draw and create things digitally and make a career out of it. This experience inspired me to invest and purchase my very first drawing tablet. From this day forward, I never looked back! I fell in love with design, illustration and just being creative all over again and learnt about a whole new world of design. It was then that I decided to pursue my true passion in life!
